Can’t Access Course / Can’t Login

Posted onJanuary 29, 2022January 30, 2022

The steps in this article will walk you through how to login so you’re able to access your courses and troubleshoot the issue if need be.

1. Click on the “My Courses” button

You can access this button in the header menu of the website. If you’re not signed in, you will be prompted to do so.

If you’re using a phone or tablet, the button should also appear at the bottom of the screen.

2. Refresh the page

If you see an error or aren’t seeing anything at all and you know that you’ve purchased a course (or redeemed your monthly membership coupon for a free course), try refreshing the page.

3. Browser cache and cookies

If you’re still not able to access your courses after following steps 1-2 on this page, the issue is most likely caused by the cache and cookies stored in your browser.

Cache and cookies are used by websites to help improve your experience as well as advertise to you but can cause issues if you haven’t cleared them in some time (examples include – can’t sign in, can’t reset your password, can’t access purchased material, etc). Some cyber security professionals recommend clearing your cache and cookies once a month.

Please view the video below for instructions on clearing your cache and cookies.
*Please note that this is not our video but it is both simple and helpful.

TIP: Whenever I clear my cache, I choose “All time” for the time range. Especially if I haven’t cleared it out for a while. See FAQs below for more.

  • Your browser will work faster
  • Website formatting and functionality errors will be fixed
  • Helps protect any personal information stored in cookies
  • Etc

There are no real cons. Though you will be signed out of websites you’re currently signed into.

Some cyber security professionals recommend clearing your browser cache and cookies once a month.

You can generally find instructions by searching your browser for “how to clear cache and cookies for [browser] on [device]”

Examples:
– How to clear cache and cookies for Chrome on iPhone
– How to clear cache and cookies for Safari on Mac

Though there is no real concern for clearing out your browser cache, you could use a different browser or try an incognito/private window.

Browsers – if you’re using google chrome, you could try using Firefox, Safari, Edge, Duck Duck Go, etc. Most of these browsers have apps you can use.

Incognito/Private windows – these windows won’t store your cache and cookies once you exit out of the window. To learn how to open an incognito/private window, try searching google for “how to open an incognito window using [browser] on [device]”.
Examples:
– How to open an incognito window using chrome on iPhone
– How to open an incognito window using chrome on Mac

4. Contact our team

If you’re unclear on one of the steps above or if after completing the steps above you’re still not able to view the courses, please contact our team by using the form below.
